Trump Announces Capture of Major Terrorist, to Face "American Justice"
US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that a major terrorist responsible for the Kabul airport attack in Afghanistan has been captured. Trump revealed the news in his first speech to Congress since his return to office.
Trump remembered the 13 American service members killed during a suicide bombing at Kabul airport during the withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021. He described the withdrawal under the Biden administration as "catastrophic and incompetent," saying, "Maybe that was the most embarrassing moment in our country's history."
Trump expressed his satisfaction that his administration had "just captured the main terrorist responsible for those atrocities," confirming that he is "now on his way to Washington to face the swift sword of American justice."
The US President also praised the Afghan government for their contribution to the capture of "this monster."
