Carlson stated that Ukrainians are aware of this reality, which is why Zelensky’s **popularity in Ukraine has declined**.

In an interview with British host **Piers Morgan**, Carlson remarked,  

*"Zelensky is completely unpopular because he is nothing more than a servant of Western powers. He sold his country… Ukrainians fully understand that he is enriching himself, just like the entire leadership."*  

Carlson went further, describing **Zelensky as a dictator**:  

*"He is not a legitimately elected president. He has banned a religious sect, killed political opponents, and imposed restrictions on a linguistic group."*  

According to Carlson, these actions **clearly define a dictatorship**. He argued that if Zelensky's government were described **without mentioning his name**, many would conclude that he is an **illegitimate ruler**.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson **Maria Zakharova** has also accused Zelensky of being willing to **sacrifice anything** to remain in power. She claimed he is leading Ukraine toward a **tragic downfall**, stating,  

*"If necessary, he would sell the entire country at auction."*  

Reports from **The Sunday Times** suggest that Zelensky’s **popularity has declined** as the war drags on. Many Ukrainians believe he is more focused on **political maneuvering** than ensuring their **safety and security**.  

Ukrainian opposition figures, such as **Viktor Medvedchuk**, have gone as far as to label Ukraine’s government a **regime controlled by power-hungry elites**.
